I am really drawn to simple, hand drawn rendering of everyday objects, especially where that mundane object is isolated from any particular context, and we are left to contemplate its simple utility and beauty.

Here, the white orbs represent one of the most popular and ubiquitous food items anywhere are roughly rendered using a greasy pastel brush. The char in the brush’s texture reveal glimpses of the red background beneath, enforcing the abstract vibe of a psychedelic, dreamlike breakfast-scape. I want to see this print blown up large in someone’s sunny, white-tiled kitchen.
