“it’s a gray morning. it’s even raining a bit — my favorite. i fed the cat and she slinked off, walking between the raindrops. three people have emailed me but i’m not looking at them yet. it’s quiet and i’m waiting for my coffee to finish brewing. i have one last slice of berry tart. yay.”
Here’s a sweet little illustrated journal entry. I enjoyed the challenge of sticking to a limited color palette, and it just so happened that those shades employed in my illustration (green, burgundy, gold, black and gray) were the actual colors existing harmoniously and non-performatively in real life in the kitchen and cat: a sweet feat of serendipity and observation.
