I designed the movie poster for streaming outlets, and the website for the release of the documentary film The Sun Rises In The East, about the Brooklyn organization that had a huge impact on Black community leadership and autonomy in the 70s. I also created the animations from vintage East photographs, featured on each page.

I created these animations from vintage East photographs. They’re featured on each page.
WEBSITE DESIGN
Finally, I designed the website. The filmmaker site owners wanted something very simple, and outside of the illustration animations created for each page, I allowed their austere vision to guide the project. Personally, I would have made greater use of the amazing archival images at our disposal.
