LE PETIT OLIVE

Logo for Fictitious French Bistro and Bakery

DESIGN GALLERY

I was playing around in my digital sketchpad, working with shader and stippling brushes, and ended up creating a simple textured olive.

From there I imagined a small French bistro and bakery that centered it in its logo and other branding, perhaps used it alone on the pocket of the shirts worn by its waiters and service staff and in other simple applications.

The type is an unserious and unfocused, wavy and bold serif that resembles the look of a standard serif that’s been rendered as type on a bistro window pane, and reflected by the late day sunlight onto the pavement below.

Watch this space as I’d to do some mockups onto t-shirts, matchboxes, a storefront, and a menu. I was waiting until I finished all that to post but I needed to move on to paid projects. Honestly, I might never return to this, but until then — au revoir, le petit olive.
