AIR FRYER AIR PODS

What started off as some drawing practice using my air pods as a model turned into a full blown nostalgia project. I made this up off the top of my head, including the distortion of my voice to narrate the floating objects, but something about this tickles a very visually and psychically familiar (and formative) experience somewhere deep in my consciousness. It definitely reminds me of PBS programming, mixed with the charm of Richard Scarry picture books with their use of sweet little spot illustrations and simple serif typefaces, but with a somewhat adult and somewhat creepy affect.

After I created the Air Fryer, Air Pods illustration/animation, I used a couple of illustrations I’d made previously (they can be seen in my piece called Objects Of My Distraction) to create another one (Lipstick, Chapstick). I want to make more, but in acknowledgment of my attention space, I’m happy I made these!
